On average, running economically for one month:

**Accommodation**: hostels and private apartments: R$400 to R$1,200.

**Food**: cooking for yourself and eating out sometimes. Street food and cheap places: R$7-15 a meal. Groceries: around R$300 a month.

**Transport**: if you want to get around easily, InDrive is an option. Monthly scooter rental: R$400-600. Petrol: R$50-100.

**Coworking and cafés**: monthly coworking: R$500-750. Or free in cafés with good Wi-Fi, as long as you order something.

**Internet and SIM**: a local SIM with unlimited data: R$50.

**Leisure and extras**: a Thai massage: R$25-50. Trips, temples, yoga, cafés and so on: R$500-1,000.

## Estimated monthly total

**Low cost, minimalist:** R$3,000 to R$4,000

**Comfortable, with coworking, a scooter and leisure:** R$5,000 to R$6,500
